In the second round of the NCHBC Oklahoma City Regional Championship Dallas HSAA defeated the Tulsa NOAH Jaguars 50-32 in the Regional Semi Finals. The championship game set up the MaxPreps #1 team in the nation vs. the MaxPreps #3 the Oklahoma City Storm. Dallas HSAA was fresh off a huge victory over '07, '08, '09, '10 Gold Ball National Champion, Houston power house HCYA Warriors (at time MaxPreps #2). HSAA defeated HCYA 57-46 in Dallas. This was Dallas HSAA Blue Angels first Varsity Boys State Championship in recent history. When asked about the Regional Tournament Coach Paul Davis said “Coming off the Texas State Tournament the weekend before, our guys seemed a little tired at first."  But in a very hostile environment HSAA jumped on the OKC Storm right away. The Storm made the game very tight at the end but HSAA hung on and won a very big game on the road against a Storm team who went on to the 2010 NCHBC Final Four. Final Score 50-45, when Coach Davis talked about his team winning the championship he stated "(our team) came through in the championship game against a very talented Oklahoma City Storm team. It was a very satisfying feeling to finally win a Regional”. Dallas HSAA had an incredible season, they entered the National Tournament as the #1 overall ranked team and after making Class 6a they were voted as the #1 seed by the coaches in the re-seed. HSAA had many big wins against public & private schools throughout the season. Week after week Dallas HSAA had the attention of the entire HomeSchool Basketball world.

At the 2009 National Tournament Coach Threadgill took HSAA to their first ever Varsity Boys NCHBC Final Four. At the 2010 National Tournament Coach Davis took HSAA to their second consecutive Varsity Boys NCHBC Final Four. This 2010-2011 season the Varsity Boys Dallas HSAA team will attempt to defend both their state tournament championship and regional championship in one tournament the 2011 NCHBC Texas Regional in their hometown Dallas.
