2014 Basketball

The 2014-15 HomeSchool Basketball Season is nearly upon us! With this in mind the NCHBC & HSLive365 are working hand in hand at creating a great opportunity for coaches around the country to nominate their own players for one of the following end of the year awards. These are brand new Awards and our goal is to announce the winner at NCHBC 2015! The primary goal of these awards are to provide your nominees an opportunity to receive extra exposure during the 2014-15 season.

Anthony Palmer, Caleb Hollander, Colton Collins, Elijah Lee, Gabe Tanella, Jerod Martin, JJ Decker, Jonah Hartsburg, Kole Talbott, LaRon Stokes, Mark Malone, Micahel Higginbotham, & Zack Ramos are the 13 male players nominated for this year's NCHBC HomeSchool Basketball Player of the Year award.

Simply put, these Girls teams are the Best of the Best in HomeSchool Basketball. These end of the season Rankings include the very best HomeSchool teams across the nation from the 2013-14 Basketball Season. The Lubbock Lady Titans claimed their 1st ever Undisputed National Championship defeating Memphis' MHEA Eagles in front of 6,000+ fans at Missouri State University. Tennessee & Texas HomeSchool Basketball had quite a year with 11 of the national top 20 hailing from these two states. Arkansas, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma & Virginia had teams mentioned in these rankings.

Simply put, these are the Best of the Best in HomeSchool Basketball. These Rankings include the very best HomeSchool teams across the nation from the 2013-14 Basketball Season. The OKC Storm once again defeated Houston's HCYA Warriors in a thrilling tripple overtime Undisputed National Championship Game, in front of the packed 7,000+ fans at Missouri State University. Augusta's GAIS Eagles, Michigan's St. Johns Warriors, Dallas' HSAA Angels, & Tulsa's NOAH Jaguars all finished in the National Top 10 for at least the 2nd year in a row. Arkansas SCCHEA Warriors, Indiana's Northside Lions, & the Wichita Defenders, all made their first ever appearance in an end of the year Top 10, while the FEAST Patriots made their first appearance in nearly a decade.

The NCHC HomeSchool Basketball Post Season Events (Regionals & Nationals) have featured over 1,200 HomeSchool teams just during the 2013 & 2014 post season! In the past two years The NCHBC has featured post season tournaments in Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, & Texas. The 2015 Regional Championship Dates are February 26th-28th (in 4 locations) and Nationals is March 9th-13th (in Springfield, MO) This post contains specific details NCHBC Post Season Events!

2014 NCHC Fall Nationals Details

The NCHC 2014 Fall Nationals features HomeSchool Volleyball Nationals, HomeSchool Cross Country Nationals, HomeSchool Boys Soccer Nationals & the HomeSchool Basketball National Tip Off Tournament. All together close to 250 homeschool teams from more than 20 states will compete at Fall Nationals which will once again be in Springfield, MO during October 30th, 31st, & November 1st! The 2014 HomeSchool Basketball National Championships broadcast a record shattering 64+ games during the 5 day NCHBC event that featured the best of the best Players, Teams, Programs, & Fans in HomeSchool Basketball. The games that were broadcast will only be available to purchase on DVD for a few more days before the video webstore will be closed....

The following post was written by NCHBC Executive Director Tim Flatt about a friend of his, Mercer Head Coach, Bob Hoffman. Flatt shared this story about the 1999 National Championship Game which changed the direction of the team he coached, the OKC Storm. Hoffman's word with Flatt following a difficult loss to FEAST had a profound impact on a dynasty in the making, which impacted the entire sport of HomeSchool Basketball.
